One day (while in Florida) Jon decided that he was going to the beach and taking anyone that wanted to help, and building a sand castle as big as Samuel!
So off 13 of us headed to the beach....
The sand castle crew went straight to work...
moving wet sand to the pile... |
trying to shape the pile.. |
the master mind behind the castle... |
Since there were so many people working on the sand castle, and LilyKate and Annelise were not interested I sat down near them and started digging a hole just to entertain myself...
then Julie stopped helping with the sand castle and I had a brilliant idea....
I told her to start digging a hole about 3 feet from mine and we could tunnel them towards each other...
Sometime, some how Jon ended up working on my tunnel...
Once we made it to one another.. I stuck the camera down in the hole to get a cool pic...
So now we had an even better idea... let one of the kids crawl through... of course the first to offer was Isabelle...
Down she goes... |
her hand waving at the camera |
can she make it??.... |
of course she did!!!! she just needed a little help getting up |
she was sooo excited, and all of us cheered!!! |
Once Isabelle did it, the other kids lined up to give it a try...
Eva got as far as laying on her belly, with her head in the hole and screamed for daddy to pull her out!
Michael wormed his way through no problem |
Grace heads in... (pun intended lol) |
SUCCESS!! |
LILYKATE?? WHAT? |
What a trooper!! |
Annelise- aka Diego wanted to get in on this adventure |
not sure what Diego says, as Dora would say We did it, we did it, we did it yeah! |
While we were all watching, cheering and tunneling, Hannah was working hard on that pile of sand.. creating a fantastic sand castle!!
check out that detail... seaweed, seashells, even a blue fish... I love it! |
A great few hours at the beach, fun adventure, tons of pictures, memories that will last a lifetime, millions of giggles and more then enough sand in our suits and hair and make our own sandbox!!
What's your favorite thing to do on the beach?
