Rae Dunn

So I have this friend, her name is Julie Q.
She decided she wanted to show me her Rae Dunn collection.
I was pretty impressed and I loved the MILITARY MOM mug she gave me.

I have been very drawn to Emma Bridgewater the Toast and Marmalade collection. Which I mentioned in this post.
Since this is pottery made in UK, it is not in my budget to own these pieces at this time.
(But one day I will)

But this post is about RAE DUNN.
I enjoy Rae Dunn also, and they fit better with my budget.

At first all I wanted were mugs, however that changed the first time I went shopping for pieces with Julie.
I wanted the canisters, the tea pitcher, and of course the pasta bowls.
Next we met at a yard sale and the woman was selling many pierces for just $1.
I couldn’t resist!!

Let me share with you my experience one morning after I dropped the kids at school, I headed to Home Goods. I had arrived early and I was sitting in my car waiting for 9am to go into the store.
I was playing on my phone and when I looked up at 8:45 I saw a long line of ladies waiting at the door. I was very curious about this, so I walked up and asked what everyone was waiting for.
The women laughed at me and one said ‘the new Rae Dunn birdhouses get released today’.
I asked a few more questions and listened them them shatter about their collections.
When the worker came to the door to unlock it, these women got very serious and pushy, and before the worker would let them in she said, in a very firm voice “NO RUNNING LADIES”. I was laughing. No way this could be this serious....
YES YES YES it was!!! They ran even though she told them not to!! CRAZY!!

They were fighting over who had their hand on a birdhouse first!
I can tell you I left that day empty handed, I was not going anywhere near that circus. If there were any pieces left I would come back and look another day!!
I never went looking for Rae Dunn that early again!

When I would go looking, I would pass on many things, but like Julie did for her friends, I would send pics of what I found to Julie and see if she wanted or needed any of pieces I found.
I didn’t buy much from the stores, I was either given, or bought most of my pieces from Rae Dunn Facebook pages, friends.

One of the neatest things I found out about Rae Dunn, new words, pieces, items are always coming out. She has laundry, bathroom, napkins, notebooks... etc...
We have this entire hutch filled, as well as we have one mug cupboard full and a mug rack on the counter.

Do you own any Rae Dunn?
