Short and Sweet

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ok i just made myself laugh just typing the title...

Because this entry is going to be short, but the topic is also short and sweet.

Jon is a Starbucks addict... I mean he reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyy loves it! So he is often, (most days)seen holding a Venti size Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte.

I also like Starbucks a lot. However, due to my pregnancy I do not enjoy one of my 2 favorites... Cinnamon Dolce Latte, and the Java Chip Frappuccino.

Cinnamon Dolce Latte

Java Chip Frappuccino® Blended Coffee

One day while at the grocery store the craving hit... and I mentioned that I shouldn't because I'm pregnant, and the wonderful barista tells me to have a Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino, it is cream based -not coffee

Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino® Blended Crème

 I was SOOOO excited!!!!
But then he made my day with the size of my drink...

Who even knew they had such a small drink that tasted so fabulous and was better for baby!

He was the best barista EVER, especially after he handed me my actual cup...

I didn't even have any kids with me to enjoy the baby sized Starbucks!

Have you had one of these 'leftover' sized drinks?

Hidden Treasures

In a well organized house (which I would consider mine) with many kids using their imagination, and playing games such as house, school, store, sharks, battles, hide and seek, treasure hunts, .... okay you get my point. I still seem to find the strangest things in the oddest places...

However, sometimes I cannot even use my imagination to figure out why or how a certain item found would have ended up there...

But my favorite find is when I discover a whole hidden treasure of things one child is collecting, and they are ever so random to me...

I enjoy finding these hidden treasures around the house, it reminds me that they are only kids and they have the best imagination, that most 'grown ups' can't find anymore. I love all the little things about the kids even if they make messes and drive me crazy sometimes!!

Do you find hidden treasures around your house?

Birthday x3

We had a triple birthday.... birthday party.

Jon and Julie worked so hard on the 3 layered cakes the kids asked for!!
They made each birthday kid their very own triple layer...

Birthday party crafts to start out the event... picture frames and bookmarks

Then off to the garage for a pinata... full of candy.

A game I have loved since I was a kid musical chairs!! (probably the most favored event)

And to end the party, bobbing for apples... Isabelle was very excited...
She stuck her entire head and neck in...

I hope Eva, Grace and Samuel enjoyed their first Texas birthday!! I sure enjoyed watching!

What are some party games you like?

oops~ 9 Whippersnappers

Well my blog title is wrong...

We sent these postcards out to friends and family.

We are having another baby.... SURPRISE... our plan at stopping at eight must not of been someone else's plan

My due date was January 8th, but it has been changed, because I am further along then expected, my new due date is December 25th!

I really hope I have the baby 2 weeks early like all but one of my other deliveries.

Not being home with my kids on Christmas morning would be so sad.

Here is baby number 9's very first picture, baby is waving...

We are finding out what the sex is this time. We gave away or sold all that we had before we moved.

The kids are extremely excited and can't wait for this baby to arrive!

Did you make a plan of how many kids in your family?

Grateful Move

Before we packed up all 10 of us and all of our things (2 -26ft Uhaul trucks worth) and moved 1300 miles south.... we came to check out this place we now happily called home!! Houston Texas

So Nathan was on a mission to sell Houston to Jon and I. There are many things that could have helped in this decision not sure what the deal breakers were...... Maybe it was the morning stops at Starbucks everyday...

Or it the amazing lunch Nathan made us...

Dinner at the Downtown Aquarium could have been that nudge....

Driving down Huge Rich Mansion Avenue

my favorite
A trip to the Galleria Mall was quite the treat, I mean Jon made himself right at home!!
I was impressed by the hats in the souvenir shop...

Nothing makes you want to move to a city like taking pictures of you and your wife and being confronted by security, and being reprimanded for taking pictures in the mall!!!

The style that Houston portrays is so enticing ....

Maybe it was all the southern hospitality at a real Texan Bar-B-Que...  the food also may have had a little push to get us here...

Going out for my very favorite food, at a place that was devine ....
 Absolutely delicious sushi
 I didn't taste ANY that I didn't love...
but I think this was my favorite... (man just looking these pictures my mouth is watering)

Another completely cool place was a theater where you are served your dinner while in your seat watching a movie!!  (even better when the meal ends up being free)

I think the final decision was based a little on all the above things, but mainly knowing you have great business partners with the same goals and determination was THE motivator. ok maybe a pushy wife had a little part

We have not and most likely will not regret this decision. I am grateful!

Have you ever wanted to move to another state or country?

McGuire's Irish Pub

We had a great time and great food at this AMAZING Irish Pub....

The very first thing we noticed as we are walking in.... tons and tons of money hanging from the ceiling!!!

Money on the walls and ceiling all over the entire restaurant!!! Along with really interesting and fun decor.

This was hilarious!! Kids thought so too!

OH snap, we collect these flatten pennies, the kids are so excited (OK so am I) (thanks for starting our collection Grandma Regular)

"Hey let's try to count just a small area"... hahaha I can just imagine what the other tables were thinking of us!

My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing in the restaurant..... so awesome... good story to go with it too...
I guess a man walked into the ladies room, and a woman made such a fuss that she wanted the signs removed.... (I am guessing she sued)  McGuire's had to pay a huge fine but didn't (obviously have to remove the signs)

I mean really what kind of restaurant puts a cool mirror like this in it?   THE COOLEST KIND!!

I want this table so much. I even asked where I could buy one from, it fit all 14 of us no problem and in the middle of the table it had a smaller circle that turned so you can pass stuff to one another very easy!! Like the 18¢ bowls of delicious bean soup EVERYONE tried (and loved). I really really really want one!! (in my whiny voice)

So as we are leaving, we are enjoying the money on the walls, and the waitress asked if we would like to hang our own....

 Of course we did!!
This is a place I would enjoy all the time if their were one close!!

What would you do different if you opened your own restaurant?
